Despite meteorologists predicting an El Nino event for the country, many north west towns have received welcome rain over the past month.
During October Tamworth received 50-millimetres of rain – which compares to only 23-millimetres in September.
November is also shaping up to be wet one, with 20-millimetres of rain recorded in Tamworth in the past two-days.
Rainfall was also up in Armidale, with 30-millimetres recorded in October and another 16-millimetres over the past two-days, with more to come.
