A 38-year-old woman has escaped with minor injuries after her car, containing her two children, was hit during a police pursuit in Wallsend overnight.
It’s alleged a 37-year-old male motorist failed to stop for police on Newcastle Road at around 8 o’clock, driving through a red light and hitting the Holden Astra with three people inside.
The woman received a fractured wrist, thankfully her children were uninjured.
The man was charged with a number of offences including dangerous driving and driving an unregistered car whilst disqualified, he’ll face Newcastle Court next month.
