Coffs Harbour police are investigating reports shots were fired during a road rage incident north of the city this afternoon.
A driver travelling along Solitary Islands Way at Arrawarra at 1.30 heard gunfire and saw what appeared to be a weapon protruding from a white VS Commodore sedan.
No one was injured and a police search of the scene has found no evidence of spent shells from a gun.
