Evacuation warnings issued for parts of the Macleay

Residents around Smithtown and Gladstone were told to evacuate today, as rain lashed the region’s upper catchments – while floodgates were opened around the lower Macleay.

Crescent Head and South West Rocks now also being urged to prepare for isolation.
