CANCER SURVIVOR IN COFFS ON MARATHON RIDE

Prostate cancer survivor Rudy Pospisil cycled through Coffs Harbour today on his ride from Cairns to Melbourne, raising money for research into the disease.

The 55 year old Canadian fire fighter has spent the last six years on his bike riding around the world.

Reaching Melbourne will be a milestone.

“I’ll have then gone 18,000 kilometres and officially according to Guiness, that’s three quarters of the way around the world, so I’ll have a quarter of the earth to finish my ride,” he said.

Rudy’s hoping to reach Melbourne before Christmas.
