NEWCASTLE INDEPENDENTS PROMISE HAMILTON UPGRADES

Hamilton is on the radar of the Newcastle Independents.

Lord Mayoral candidate Kath Elliott, has promised to fast track a masterplan for the business precinct if elected.

It would include an upgrade of the James Street plaza and a new library.

“Beaumont street and Hamilton haven’t had any money spent on them since the 1989 earthquake and it’s time. It’s tired here, the businesses have been crying out for support from council, they haven’t got as much support as they’d like,” said Ms Elliott.
