After developing the new Woolworths and Dan Murphy’s in Tamworth, a Chinese Investment company is eyeing off its next project.
It’s the first time Everich has invested in Australia, and it plans to do so in Tamworth for some time.
Council took a group on a tour of the city today, particularly focusing on the agriculture sector.
“There is a wonderful opportunity there for them to consider building another abattoir that would perhaps be doing local kills and also killing meat for taking, for boxing and taking back to China.”
The Deputy Mayor says the challenge will be for farmers to supply enough meat to meet demand.
