ONE DEAD AND ANOTHER AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL

A 32-year-old woman has died in a single-vehicle crash on the Oxley Highway at Carroll last night.

It’s believed the Holden station wagon, containing two occupants, left the road and struck a steel power pole around 7pm.

The 32-year-old front seat passenger died at the scene.

The 54-year-old male driver was transferred to Gunnedah Hospital, before being airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter.
