Gold Coast water skier Jared Coey has died in Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital after a terrible accident in the Bridge to Bridge classic in Grafton on Sunday.
Just before the finishing line, Coey fell forward and somersaulted across the water as he and another skier were being towed by Sydney boat Top Gun.
Friends have launched a “Gofundme” appeal for donations to help the 27 year old, whose wife is expecting a second child.
