A Gold Coast water skier, critically injured while competing in the Bridge to Bridge classic at Grafton on Sunday, has died in hospital.
Jared Coey of Coomera fell as he and another skier were being towed by the boat, Top Gun, near the finish line.
The 27-year-old’s wife is pregnant with their second child.
More than $60,000 has been raised for the family on the “go fund me” website.
Police and Maritime Services are investigating the accident.
