CATTLE PRODUCERS URGED TO LOOKOUT FOR MUD SCOURS FOLLOWING RECENT CASES

Local cattle producers are being encouraged to lookout for the potentially fatal mud scours – following recent cases in the Lismore area.

Outbreaks of the bacterial disease usually happens in cooler conditions when mud sticks to pasture.

Signs of the disease varies from fever to diarrhoea, which can result in dramatic weight loss.
