ARMIDALE COUNCIL RELEASES DRAFT FLYING FOX MANAGEMENT PLAN

Armidale residents are being urged to have their say on a draft flying fox management plan.
Since October last year grey-headed flying foxes have been roosting in the Black Gully area – the colony peaking at around 40, 000 in December.
Under current federal legislation the grey-headed flying fox is listed as vulnerable…
The draft plan aims to minimise the impacts on affected residents, while ensuring the flying foxes and their ecosystems are conserved.
The document will be on public exhibition until May 28.
