After years of waiting, Kempsey’s multi-million-dollar Slim Dusty Centre will finally open its doors to the public on October 17.
The multi-purpose facility includes a function centre, retail shop, and a museum honouring the country music legend.
The centre, in Slim Dusty’s hometown, has overcome numerous financial setbacks over the years to come to fruition.
An official gala opening will be held on November 19.
