Tamworth party-goers are being warned to be on their best behaviour this weekend, with the Albert Hotel trialling an ID scanner.
The device will store information from patron’s ID’s, and anyone causing trouble will be banned from the venue.
“Now that we have these systems we’re going to be able to closely monitor the trouble makers, we’re going to keep them out of the CBD and everybody that wants to have a good time will be able to come out and have a good time in peace.”
Scanners will also be used at the Imperial, Tudor and Post Office hotels as of next weekend.
