NEW POLICY TO MANAGE STATE’S TRAVELLING STOCK RESERVES
Local Land Services has developed a draft management plan for the state’s travelling stock reserves.
Traditionally the reserves have been used by graziers to move stock, now they’re more commonly seen as extra feed lots during times of drought.
Across New South Wales there’s more than 500,000 hectares of stock reserves – the new policy will aim to manage the routes as one complete network.
Local farmers are being urged to have their say by contacting their local land services office.
