MANNING ORCHID SHOW STILL DELIGHTS DESPITE WEATHER

Unseasonal weather conditions for plant growers, hasn’t stopped the Manning’s Annual Winter Orchid Show from impressing audiences.

The two-day event kicked off today, showcasing a beautiful display of orchids from across the Manning Valley, Forster and Port Macquarie.

“This year with the weather being unusual so you could say, it’s been a little bit difficult, we’re probably down a number of plants for this show but it looks it will be very good for the spring,” Rob Wells from the Manning Orchid Society says.

Taree’s Mal Myers took out the Grand Champion Orchid Prize, in the event’s 43rd year.
