Police have appealed for assistance after two children were approached by a man while playing in their front yard in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Blackall’s Park.
The five year-old and eight-year-old were at the front of their Rupert Street home when a man in a white four-wheel-drive drove up on to the footpath outside their home.
Police say the man got out of his car and spoke to the children in a suspicious and intimidating manner.
The children informed their father while the man drove away
The driver has been described as Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a black shirt with grey shorts or pants
