NATIONAL FIELD RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIPS BEGIN IN COFFS HARBOUR

Rifle enthusiasts with the sharpest of eyes have arrived in Coffs Harbour for the 2017 National Field Rifle Championships.

Over three days, more than 200 entrants will try their hand over a variety of range lengths.

The largest shooting competition outside of Sydney, target shooters will compete for the prestigious Queen Badges.

Today’s smaller rifles testing the shooters’ marksmanship.

Tomorrow they’ll be replaced with high-velocity rifles.
