Police are on the hunt for a man who approached a nine-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy in the Hunter yesterday.
The pair were walking home from school on Mount View Road at Cessnock when the man, who was sitting in a car, asked the girl to come over to him.
The girl refused and ran towards her brother, before the siblings ran home.
The man is described as being aged between 40 and 60 years old. He was wearing a red t-shirt, a green hat and sunglasses. The car he was sitting in is only described as a light-blue sedan.
