Maitland Mall retailers and landlords say they’re desperate for council to take action and revitalise the shopping precinct.

While several redevelopment options are currently on the table, some say it’s taking too long, with many choosing to shut up shop.

This is typical of Maitland City Council, the mayor & the band of merry men that are “YES men to him will not make a decision, you only have to go out to Kuuri Kurri & have a look at their shopping precent it is full & there is people there all the time, walk into Maitland Heritage Mall & it is DEAD because of the leadership of Maitland city council councilors. Blakemore & Co call it the fastest growing city in NSW, they think that it is because of the Council leadership, but what they want to realise is it is because of that BLACK stuff in the ground in the Hunter Valley.
    Maitland City Council need new councilors as they are old & stale, only in there to TOP up there Superannuation not for the benifit of the city only for them selfs
