Meanwhile at Anzac Park, the third annual ‘Walk With Me’ event was hosted by Northcott, which aims to promote social inclusion for people with a disability.
There was plenty of entertainment including a jumping castle and games, while students from Westdale Public School performed for the group.
“I think it’s really important for people with a disability to be involved in their communities to be included and accepted, especially as we move into this new world of a National Disability Insurance Scheme as well, that will really be about the community doing their part.”
