TAME TEAMS WITH WALLACE TO WIN GOLD

Avoca lifesaver Lachlan Tame has won gold at the World Kayaking Titles in Milan.

The 26 year old teamed with 2008 Olympic champion Ken Wallace, and the pair powered to victory in the K2 500 on the final day of competition.

The Central Coast was also represented in the K4 1000 with Under 23 World Champion Riley Fitzsimmons part of a newly formed crew.

After qualifying fastest…the Aussies finished fourth – missing the dais by an agonising margin – less than point one of a second.
