Newcastle has warmed up for the Australian Ice Hockey League finals by thrashing the Ice Dogs 14-nil.
The minor premiers put on a show for their fans in the final round, leading by five at the end of the first period.
Import Geordie Wudrick starred – his seven goals helped him break AIHL point and goal scoring records.

The North Stars travel to Melbourne this weekend for the finals, taking on Canberra in Saturday’s semi.
