Surfer Matt Banting has been forced to pull out of the upcoming Billabong Pro in Tahiti, due to an ongoing knee injury.
It’s the second time the Port Macquarie local has had to give up his spot at an event on the Championship Tour, after injuring his knee in the lead-up to the J-Bay Open in South Africa last month.
Banting will head to the Gold Coast next week for treatment, and hopes to make his return at the Hurley Pro at Trestles next month.
