The State government has announced an additional $400,000 to extend a drug treatment program established by Hunter Area Health.
It’s part of an $11 million program to help people fighting addiction and crystal methamphetamine use.
The service will be extended to Tamworth and the Mid North Coast.
The expansion follows a 7-fold increase in the number of people presenting for drug treatment over the last six years.
