NEWCASTLE JETS CEO SACKED BY FFA
Six months after being appointed Newcastle Jets CEO, Mitchell Murphy has been sacked by Football Federation Australia.
David Eland – head of Northern NSW Football – has been named interim CEO.
In a statement, Northern NSW Football didn’t disclose why Mr Murphy had been let go, simply saying: “FFA would like to thank Mitchell Murphy for his role in the initial stages of the transition from the previous owners to the FFA.”
Mr Murphy was brought into the role during embattled billionaire Nathan Tinkler’s ownership.
