A 37-year-old man has been arrested, following a four-hour stand-off in Newcastle.
At 10:30 this morning, police were called to a home at Hamilton, amid reports of a man affected by drugs, being in possession of a samurai sword and firearm.
At 2:30, the man walked out of the Dennison Street property, but police say he had to be tasered due to aggressive behaviour.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
