A 37-year old man will appear before Newcastle Court in September charged over a hit and run in Forster on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a 29- year old motorcyclist was travelling on the Lakes Way when a car hit him from behind, then drove off.
Public information led police to make the arrest in Newcastle yesterday.
The victim remains in John Hunter Hospital in an induced coma.
