BOWRAVILLE TO GET A NEW BRIDGE

Bowraville could soon boast a new bridge at the town’s main entry point, with Nambucca Shire Council setting aside $2-million in its 2017-2018 budget.
Lanes Bridge, which is an aging timber structure, regularly goes under water even with minor flooding in the Nambucca River.
The new bridge will be a concrete beam construction which will be increased in height and length.
Council is currently seeking a $1-million contribution from the state government.
