RECYCLE CENTRE GETS THE GREEN LIGHT
Lake Macquarie City Council has approved a $2.5-million recycled water centre at Cooranbong.
Johnson Property Group is behind the development, which will service 2,500 new homes in the Watagan Park community.
“This is a great win, and isn’t just a win for us, this really is a win for the whole Cooranbong community. This Recycled Water Centre is going to help drought-proof the area by using cutting edge technology to reduce Cooranbong’s demand on drinking water by up to 70 per cent,” said JPG founder, Keith Johnson.
The centre will purify waste water from kitchens, bathrooms and toilets, before pumping it back for use in the toilet, washing machine or garden.
