FUNDING FLOWS FOR QUIRINDI TO WILLOW TREE PIPELINE
Construction can continue on the Quirindi to Willow Tree pipeline after Liverpool Plains Shire Council received full funding for the project from the state government.
Planning and minor work has already begun on the $4.8-million pipeline, which will drought-proof the town of Willow Tree once it’s complete.
Council will also ease water restrictions to level three from tomorrow following recent rain.
It says there is sufficient water in the local reservoir to sustain the town until the pipeline is finished in December.
