Hunter athletes have scored comprehensive wins in the finals of the Newcastle Squash Open.
In the women’s decider, Heidi Mather went up against Sydney’s Moana Gray.
Playing in the tournament for the first time since moving home from a long stint in the US, Mather won in three sets.
It was a similar story in the men’s decider.
Commonwealth Games representative Matthew Karwalski was always in control against Sydney’s Brett Hyland, also winning in three.
