NEW APP HELPS FAMILIES OF SICK KIDS

John Hunter Children’s Hospital has become the first of its kind in the state, to develop its own mobile app.

More than 50,000 young patients are admitted every year.

It’s hoped the informational app will help families, in particular those visiting for the first time.

“We’ve tested it on families, we’ve asked the young people themselves to tell us what’s important. So ward information, hospital services, parking,” said Professor Trish Davidson.

The app is free.
