Veteran Newcastle Knight, Clint Newton, has announced he’ll retire at the end of this NRL season.

The 34-year-old second rower told his teammates this morning at training.

Newton is unsure what he’ll do next year, but says he will remain in Newcastle.

The American-born player has competed in 100 matches for the Knights over six years, as well as stints with Melbourne Hull KR and Penrith.
