Two men are assisting police following a shooting in the Newcastle suburb of Waratah early this morning.
Police were called to a Platt Street unit just before six o’clock, amid reports a 38-year-old man had been shot.
“A male occupant was injured, from a gunshot wound to his right knee, that person was converyed by ambulance to John Hunter Hospital where he;s undergone surgery”
Police say they expect to lay charges.
