The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has flown a 33-year-old man to John Hunter Hospital suffering suspected spinal injuries, after a road accident at Tanilba Bay.
Just before three this afternoon, he became trapped in his ute, after it slammed into a tree at high speed.
The State Emergency Service was also called in to help release him. .
