MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENCES IN LAKE MACQUARIE

A 22-year-old man will face Belmont Local Court next month, charged with drug offences.

Police allege the search of a car in Gateshead yesterday uncovered 2.4-grams of the drug ‘ice,’ as well as cash.

The passenger of vehicle was arrested and later charged with possessing a prohibited drug.

Officers also searched the home of one of the man’s relatives at Macquarie Hills, where it’s alleged they found four replica firearms.

Charges are expected to be laid.
