Users of a Grafton supermarket car park won’t have to worry about time-limits or fines.
Clarence Valley Council has knocked back a request from the owners of Grafton Mall to allow parking inspectors in to book people who park for more than two hours.
Council staff recommended regulated parking for the supermarket on a trial basis, but councillors voted 5-4 in favour of a motion against the proposal.
A roof cover is planned for part of the carpark and the owners are concerned even more people will park their cars there all day.
