MEETING TO FIND SOLUTION TO FLYING FOX PROBLEM
A meeting will be held in Tamworth next Monday in a bid to find a solution to the city’s flying fox problem.
About 40,000 grey-headed and red flying foxes are living in trees adjacent to King George Avenue, the largest camp in the region located near homes.
A $10,000 grant from the Office of Environment and Heritage will see a management plan created, to try and move them along without harming them.
Representatives from WIRES, state government agencies and vets will attend the meeting.
