ANTIQUES AND ART ROADSHOW
Tamworth Regional Gallery provided an additional service today, thanks to two Sydney art valuers who set up shop to take a look at residents’ valuables.
The arts and antiques roadshow saw Henry Mulholland and Robert Williams conduct appraisals on decorative art and paintings.
“When you have things hanging on your wall or on your shelves at home it’s just curiosity. The things that we’re looking at today, I’d be very surprised if the people were interested in selling them.”
The pair travel to areas outside the city twice a year to provide the service.
“We’re able to emphasise the importance of the art work and say look yes yes you must take care of that you know because you know these things get handed down through generations, so it is valuable.”
