Newcastle’s under-18 rugby league rep side will head to Mudgee tomorrow morning for the Country Championship finals, taking on the Bidgee Bulls from the Riverina.
Meanwhile, the Greater Northern Tigers, featuring players from the Upper Hunter, will contest both the under-16 and the Tier Two open final.
The Tigers’ senior squad is determined to tighten up in defence.
Greater Northern was leading 30-nil in last week’s semi, but allowed the North Coast back into the game.
