Police have continued their long weekend blitz, breath-testing early risers in Tamworth this morning.
Local highway patrol have commended the region’s drivers with only eight positive breath tests so far recorded in the Oxley and New England Local Area Commands.
But speeding has continued to be a problem with 88 offences recorded so far.
60 people have also been caught not wearing seat belts across the two commands.
Double demerits continue until midnight tonight.
