A man has been charged with indecent assault after an alleged incident at the University of Newcastle.
Just after midnight on Sunday, a 19-year-old woman was sleeping in accommodation on University Drive, Callaghan when a man allegedly entered her room and indecently assaulted her.
A male friend heard her yell for help and removed the man from her room.
A 23-year-old man was charged with indecent assault and granted conditional bail to appear before Newcastle Local Court on Thursday 4 June 2015.
