TWO FROM TWO AS HUNTERS OUTCLASS PENRITH

It’s been a great weekend for the Newcastle Hunters in the Waratah Basketball League,
with both the men’s and women’s teams outclassing the Penrith Panthers.
Susie Walmsely got Newcastle off to a great start, on her way to 16 points, four steals and five assists.
Jill Morgan also made a valuable contribution, as the home side took a 10-point lead into the main break.
Amanda Bendeich was busy all night, scoring six points to go along with 11 rebounds.
But Sophie Kleeman would lead all scorers with 26 points in just 24 minutes.
The Hunters eventually won by 12, to solidify their place inside the top six.
