A 14 year old boy from Toowoomba has been arrested following a break and enter at Tamworth’s Longyard Hotel in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers say the quick arrest wouldn’t have been possible without social media.
“This was widely spread on our Facebook site, the Oxley Command site, and what it shows is the community’s willingness to help us out with these jobs. Within hours of that being posted, we had some significant leads.”
Police say they also expect to charge a 20 year old local man later this evening with break and enter, as well as assault.
