A man has been charged after allegedly being found with an envelope full of fake $50 notes.
Police pulled over the driver of a car on Tudor Street Hamilton on Thursday for alleged dangerous driving.
A 29-year-old passenger in the car was observed allegedly concealing a white envelope as police approached. They allegedly found a white envelope containing a large amount of fraudulent $50 notes.. He was charged with possessing counterfeit currency and breach of bail.
Last month police searched a home at Hamilton and seized a number of items used in the production of counterfeit money.
