According to new statistics from the North Coast Public Health Unit, there’s been a spike in the number of whooping cough cases in Coffs Harbour and Bellingen.
In the past fortnight alone, there have been 25 confirmed cases, while 81 have been recorded so far this year.
That’s well above last year’s findings.
The North Coast Public Health Unit is urging people to ensure their vaccinations are up to date.
