A Hunter developer has won a Land and Environment Court appeal, over plans to build a two-storey home at Bar Beach.
Bruce McFarlane challenged Newcastle Council’s decision to refuse his application for a property on Wrightson Avenue.
The court ruled in favour of Mr McFarlane, finding the proposal was in line with Local Environment Plan guidelines and height restrictions.
Nearby residents had opposed the project, claiming its location is inappropriate.
