King George Avenue’s 60,000 resident bats caused the second power outage in Tamworth in two weeks this morning.
More than 1,000 households lost electricity at Calala and Loomberah shortly before 6am.
The problem was fixed within a hour, with Essential Energy saying it deals with bat-related complications in the region on a regular basis.
The outage comes just four days after local businesses claimed the animals have negatively affected trade.
