HUNTER TRUCKS SUPPLIES TO DROUGHT STRICKEN AREAS

Just over six hours drive west from the flood-damaged Hunter Valley, rural communities near Walgett are enduring a three-year drought.

Maitland-based disaster relief service, Aussie Care, which has been on the frontline of the storm relief effort around Dungog, is tonight trucking badly-needed supplies to farmers at Cumborah, in the state’s north west.

The load of food and drought relief goods will be joined by road trains, packed with stock feed.
